Time and Details

I figured I should probably post something about time and date and lodging and such.  We are planning on having the wedding at 2 in the afternoon.  Al the details will be in the invitations too, which hopefully I'll have printed up soon and be sending them out in June.  I have them pretty much finished on the computer.  So the plan as it stands now, is start at 2, ceremony first, reception immediately after at the same site.  We will have a late lunch/early dinner bar b q kind of thing.  There are horse show pits and we'll probably bring croquet, and there is a play structure not far for the kiddoes.  We have reserved the North Falls group camp sites at Silver Falls, and one RV group site as well.  There should be plenty of camping for everyone who wants to camp.  So later in the evening when we have to clear out of the day use area the party can continue at the group camps.  We also have the campsites for Friday night for anyone and everyone wanting to come and camp for 2 nights. 

I think that's all for now!  Next up on the planning block is cake and food...... I'm thinking lots of cupcakes.

We planted dahlia bulbs for wedding flowers. My parents planted about 30, and I planted about 30. I noticed the first shoot this weekend!


Also picked up my dress this week! I am quite pleased with it. Of course, I should have known better than to buy the shoes before the dress, the shoes I got don't go well at all! But it's ok, they were only $20 from Target and I'm going to be wearing them in a friends wedding so it all works out. I'll just have to find another pair for mine.

Here is our wedding blog, it's got all sorts of links and info for our big ol' party in the park. I hope it's useful! Every once in awhile I might even post here on how the planning is going, for those who are interested. So far, so good! My dress is on order, as well as some other wedding party clothing items. We've go the important stuff reserved, working on putting together and researching the possibility of doing a pig roast for the reception. Whether or not we do a whole pig, there will definitely be a great big bar b q! We started registering, though we don' really need a lot of stuff so it's kind of hard. We're planning on hiking Hadrian's wall path for our honeymoon in 2009, so we're registering at REI for a few backpacking supplies!
